Back Beach Volleyball
INTRO
The popularity of beach volleyball (formally known as sand volleyball) has exploded over the last few years. It made the quickest transition from an emerging sport to a championship sport in NCAA history. It’s also the fastest growing NCAA sport over the last five years in Division I.
There are more than 1,410 college beach volleyball players at schools across USA. And each year, more colleges are adding a beach volleyball program, creating more opportunities.
Recruiting is very competitive. College coaches search for elite athletes with multiple years of beach club experience or elite volleyball experience. For the top D1 programs the requirements are even more elevated.
