Table Tennis

INTRO

The National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting competitive table tennis at the collegiate level across North America. We are currently involved with over 150 schools across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The NCTTA works in collaboration with the USA Table Tennis Association (USATT), a national sports organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).

Over 150 schools representing 200 teams that have Table Tennis teams in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The NCTTA currently sponsors two main events:

• League play-which allows schools and their table tennis clubs a chance to compete within their regions in the Fall and Spring semester with a team play format.
• Championships-this event is for all of the winners of the respective regions and generally takes place at the end of the Spring semester of play.

The College Nationals is one of the highest-level domestic events on the US Table Tennis calendar, featuring studying athletes from the USA and abroad in a diverse contest - the top players among the best active players in the country. The National Collegiate Championship has seen multiple US Olympians compete and be crowned victorious, along with current and former US National Team players and those from National teams of other countries too. If you are looking for a high level of competition, then get involved with your College Table Tennis team this season!

Most of the collegiate table tennis is played at the club level. Clubs in America have been growing and that includes university clubs. While not an “official” sport on par with football and basketball, university clubs are alive and well in America. These clubs are not sanctioned and officially supported by the school athletic program. Nevertheless they offer environment of constant table tennis development and they are extension of many good table tennis player careers.

Check with the schools that you are applying to if the table tennis is offered and on which level. Some schools will offer financial aid based on academic merit or financial need.
