INTRO
Baseball is one of the top US College Sports and top 3 sports overall. College competition is regularly televised. Professional Baseball League recruits most of the athletes from the college ranks.
Most of the major schools carry baseball program. Although there are almost 35,000 college baseball student athletes, the full scholarships are only available for the most talented.
